1. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and sign-in details (including Google sign-in, if used).

Content you create: ideas, scripts, projects, notes, schedules, sponsor deals, budgets and links you add.

Connected services: if you connect Google Drive, we store an encrypted access credential so we can upload files you choose. We only access files Clapboard creates or you select.

Usage information: basic technical data such as browser type, device, and error logs used to keep the service running.

2. How we use information

To provide, maintain and improve Clapboard.

To let you collaborate with the people you invite to your studio.

To communicate with you about your account, security and service changes.

To prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents, and to meet legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information.

Studio members you invite can see your shared workspace.

We use trusted service providers (hosting, database, authentication, payment processing) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored with industry-standard providers and protected with encryption in transit and access controls. No method of storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

5. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal reasons.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR and California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to make a request.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your active studio. We do not use advertising cookies.

8. Children

Clapboard is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their information.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take steps to make sure it remains protected.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date below; significant changes will be announced in the app.
