A few things worth knowing

Frequently asked questions.

The details, without the fine-print hunt.

Who is Clapboard for?

Independent creators, channels with editors and producers, and production studios. You can organize long-form video, short-form content, blogs and podcasts in one workspace.

Can I use Clapboard for free?

Yes. Free includes 3 active projects, 10 inbox ideas, one content type, a production board, content calendar, script studio and teleprompter. There is no time-limited free trial and no credit card is required to start.

How is this different from a general project manager?

Clapboard connects the production itself. Audio and visual script cues feed your shot list, assets stay linked to projects, and timestamped review notes can reference script cues. The workflow follows a piece of content from idea to published.

Which plan should I choose?

Solo is for one creator. Teams adds shared studios, teammate invitations, role handoffs, cut review and sponsor tracking for 2–25 members. Studio is designed for larger production companies and growing crews. Compare the full inclusions on our pricing page.

How does per-user billing work?

Solo is one seat. Teams bills at least 2 seats and Studio bills at least 5 seats. Your studio’s bill follows its member count, with the plan minimum applied. Prices are in Canadian dollars and applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.

Do you offer yearly billing?

Yes. Yearly billing saves 5% on Solo, 10% on Teams and 25% on Studio. The discounted monthly equivalent is shown on the pricing page; the full year is charged once a year.

Can I cancel or downgrade?

Yes. Manage billing from Plans in your studio. Plan changes and cancellation take effect at the end of your current billing period. If you exceed a lower plan’s limits, Clapboard lists what is over the limit. Your content is not deleted; some features or new-item creation may be restricted.

Does Clapboard publish directly to social platforms?

No. Clapboard helps you prepare, schedule and track your releases. You publish through the destination platform yourself.

Can I connect my Google Drive?

Solo and above support uploads to your own Google Drive. You approve the connection yourself; Clapboard requests file-level access for files it creates or that you explicitly authorize. You can also link existing Drive and OneDrive assets.

How does team access work?

A studio owner invites teammates by email and manages members from Account settings. Members work in the owner’s shared workspace, and the owner’s plan applies to that studio.

What happens if a studio owner deletes their account?

Deleting the owner’s account deletes the entire owned workspace and its projects, scripts, ideas and sponsor deals. Members lose access to that studio, but keep their own accounts. Export anything you need before deletion.

Where can I find help?

Our Help & FAQ includes screenshots and step-by-step guides for the production workflow, billing and account settings. Signed-in users can send feedback from the app’s top bar.
